Banques Populaires is one of France's largest banks and operates a network of 4000 ATMs across a customer base of 7,000,000. 

The bank's ATMs support a wide range of customer transactions, including advanced operations such as mobile phone top-ups.

The Challenge:

Provide a multi-vendor ATM solution to support more advanced customer transactions.

KAL's Solution:

KAL's EMV Kernel was implemented within I-BP's proprietary standardised ATM software environment. 

The Kernel was used to support the advanced customer transactions which can only be accessed using the Europay MasterCard Visa (EMV) 'chip and pin' technology. EMV significantly reduces card-based fraud and promotes secure ATM transactions.
