Gruppo MPS: Lowering the total cost of ownership of the ATM network

Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SPA (MPS) is the oldest bank in the world, having been founded in 1472. The MPS network operates approximately 2500 ATMs from NCR, Diebold and Wincor.

The Challenge: 

Lower MPS's cost of ownership by integrating the network

KAL's Solution:

The Kalignite based multi-vendor application for MPS was locally developed by KAL's partner NCH. The project represents Italy's first successful multi-vendor project. The project has brought a great number of benefits to MPS, particularly by lowering the total cost of ownership.

MPS is in the process of certifying other vendors' ATMs for use in their network.

KAL's solution affords them even greater choice when selecting new models of ATM, allowing them the freedom to adopt a truly best of breed strategy and operate their network in the most cost-efficient way possible.
