The seventh edition of the ATM industry’s most influential annual report, 2014 ATM Software Trends & Analysis, has now been released.
KAL and ATMmarketplace once again gathered the views of almost 800 global ATM executives, seeking their views on the most important industry topics including
- The drive towards multi-vendor software;
- The need for ATMs with greater ‘self-service’ functionality;
- Multi-channel integration in line with growing smartphone and tablet usage;
- Smarter marketing based on customers’ needs and previous interactions.
Naturally, there was also a strong focus on migration to Windows 7 (or 8) in light of Microsoft’s decision to end support for Windows XP this year. In fact, most respondents identified this as the primary driver for changing ATM software, placing it ahead of improving customer experience.
