BNF Bank in Malta has completed the rollout of KAL’s world-class ATM software suite as part of an ambitious drive to revamp its retail banking strategy.
In addition to using KAL’s K3A ATM application and the KTC management system, BNF is using the Kalignite Terminal Handler (KTH) to drive its ATM network, authenticate its users and authorize cash withdrawals, as well as to support additional complex transactions in real time.
KTH provides BNF with a smooth and gradual transition from its legacy terminal handler to a more open, advanced system. For example, KTH supports the global standard messaging protocol called “nexo”, the world’s first and only open standard for ATM connectivity.
Aravinda Korala, KAL CEO, said: “We are delighted to be able to help BNF realize their ambitious ATM network vision by giving them the same level of advanced technology, world-class features and professional services that we provide to all our customers.”
Michael A. Collis, BNF Bank CEO and Managing Director, added: “We are now able to provide an improved customer experience through our ATMs, as part of our investment programme in technology and electronic channels. An integral part of our digital transformation strategy, we are committed to offer the best products and services to our clients, leveraging on modern banking technologies.”
