KAL staff dig deep for flood victims

KAL employees in Chennai have come together to help residents in the flood-ravaged state of Kerala.

In August, the south Indian state was hit by its worst flooding in nearly a century due to unusually high rainfall during the monsoon season. More than 445 lives were lost and one million people evacuated from their homes.

In response to a government appeal for help, staff at the KAL Chennai office donated food and other essential items for those in need.

KAL Office Manager Shalini Kumar, who took part in the office relief effort, said: “We felt very satisfied that we at KAL could do some little things for the needy.”
